Although this album contains 20 tracks it was always planned for it to be listened to as "side 1", and "side 2" as in the traditional way of listening to LPs: play side 1, turn the record over, and play side 2.

The two pieces of art above reflect the combined influences and inspirations of sides 1, and 2 respectively.

My Original Valentine

I could tear a piece out of the sky,
The shade of burgundy that made you cry.
I'd wrap it as a gift for you to see
The elemental influence on me.

You are so original, baby [/ at this hour]
Loving you gives me hope to live on
You're so original baby [/ on this, our]
In a world where the magic has gone
||: You're so original, oh, you're so original :|| [/ valentine]

You've read to me and I write just for you,
The poetry that complicates us two.
They'll never get between the lines we share.
Such subtlety will never die, I swear.

This poem was used as the inspiration for the track Jolly Dee (Hey)

Peter was taught music from a young age, beginning with piano at age eight. He started to study the clarinet at the age of twelve. Peter played in village concerts, school musicals, and was part of the school and county orchestra. Church concerts, and support for amateur dramatic musicals, also featured in his late teens and early twenties.
An accident (and recovery time from it) obliged a change of direction. Peter played in a couple of gigging bands whose micro-tours took them around Middlesex, and the Midlands. Studio experiences as a performer followed, with Peter playing piano, and bass. Between 1997 and 2000 Peter recorded two solo albums of instrumental music.
For several years, Peter then took time off to raise a family, sketching themes and arrangements for a third solo album when time allowed. Since then, Peter has co-engineered, co-produced (and, most recently, produced in his own right) music for other musicians, as well as himself. This is his fourth solo album.
Peter has a bachelor's degree in Music Production & Technology, and a master's degree in Music.
